Veins

Veins are part of the classic childhood diseases. There is a lifelong immunity, if the disease was gone through once, then. Most people are vaccinated today. After an incubation period of 10-12 days the following symptoms are watched: influenza similar symptoms (Fever, common cold, a sore throat), reddened, photosensitive eyes, little white spots on the mouth mucosa and the characteristic exanthema which starts in the head area first and spreads on the whole body.

Veins appear in the pregnancy rather rarely. About the placenta, however, the virus can be transferred to the child. It doesn't come to malformations, however, as in the case of the infection with the rubellas virus, as a rule. Am missing or stillbirths happen more frequent, though. The mortality in the infancy is increased.

An indication for an abortion, however, doesn't represent a vein infection in the pregnancy.

The pregnant woman can protect herself by a vaccination at full term. In any case should, nascent mothers which don't have any sufficient protection, these avoid the contact to infected. Within the first six days after the coincidence with an infected person the pregnant woman's immunoglobulins can be given to avoid an infection.

The pregnant woman fallen ill with veins should medically be supervised well. The medical treatment orientates itself at the appearing symptoms
