Boy or girl?
The stimulating sperm cell only decides on the sex of the embryo! There are two species of sperm cells. A part types an X chromosome, the different one in an Y chromosome. X and Y chromosome become describes also as sex chromosomes. The ovum always has an X chromosome. If an ovum is stimulated by a spermium with X chromosome now, then a female embryo develops with XX constellation. A sperm cell with Y chromosome causes a XY combination. A male embryo arises.
There, however, isn't a reliable method for the influencing of the sex.
Light statistical shifts in favor of a sex arise from the following observations:
- About a certain nutrition the composition of the cervical mucus is changed so that a certain spermium species is favored.
- X and Y spermiums move differently rapidly toward the ovum. The Y spermiums are a little more rapid on the average. If there isn't, however, a fertilization capable ovum, a greater fertilization chance is for the X spermiums.
Sexual intercourse exactly at the time of the ovulation favors a boy pregnancy. No sexual intercourse should have taken place some days in front of the ovulation, though.
